Casa Pallino Farmhouse
Casa Pallino Farmhouse is situated in the quite of the National Park of Casentino Forests and more specifically in the Municipality of Pratovecchio. Florence and Arezzo are about 45 km away and the hills of Chianti are only an hour and a half by road. Camaldoli, with its hermitage, can be reached on foot with a nice excursion from morning to night.
Lorenzo is the owner of the farm Casa Pallino who runs the family farm with his mother Miranda. They are the latest generation of the family’s pastor lived in the area and nicknamed "Pallino".
The cottage has been recently renovated and the there has been created a comfortable and cozy apartment for tourists to stay in a warm and pleasant atmosphere; indipendent at the same time.
The farm is ideal for a holiday of peace and relaxation.

The farm produces daily sheep cheeses (pecorino type abbucciato Arezzo, cottage cheese, raviggiolo). Salami and delicious Prosciutto del Casentino following the production processes of slowfood.
From the apartment you have easy access to the CAI with trails for hiking and biking.
Possibility of tasting directly from the farm and illustrations of the stages of cheese production.
The apartment is set in the real world agricultural farm. Guests can get in touch with the simple life on the farm. It measures about 65 square meters. It has a standard capacity of 4 people with possibility of adding an extra single bed. And composed of: dining room with fireplace, kitchenette, bathroom, two double bedrooms, garden with table and chairs. Heating is autonomous. Every window has a view of the beautiful vegetation of the National Park and over the ridges. The apartment is equipped with dishes, glasses and pots.
The linen and breakfast are provided and included in the price.
Casa Pallino Farmhouse is within the National Park of Casentino Forests. Following is the full respect of the surrounding flora and fauna and also of the tradition. The active farm is based on the breeding of:
· Sheeps Milk: reared outdoors and who eat in the surrounding fields. Milked for manufactured goods directly in the company of various types of cheese: fresh pecorino cheese and matured under the ashes, Ricotta cheese, robiola and raviggiolo.
· Pigs “Cinta Senese” and “Gray Casentino”: bred throughout the year in the wild.
· Chickens and rabbits.
The farm has joined the project in the Province of Arezzo for the revival of “abbucciato Arezzo" (cheese typical of the valley) and the "Consorzio del Prosciutto Casentino" presidium Slow Food.

The meats are produced from pigs reared on the farm, and processed by the butchers of the Consortium of Prosciutto del Casentino
Upon reservation, our guests will be able to make small tastings with the products of the farm.
The breakfast and dinners chopping board
The farm offers a good breakfast with local products. The breakfast consists of milk, tea, coffee, juice, cereal, cookies, biscuits, cake and homemade jams, honey, etc... (in case the guests have special requirements please inform us).
In the evening you can dine on cutting board, with salami and cheese.
Tasting & workshops
The farm offers, advance booking by guests, small tasting guided by Lorenzo with the products of the farm. Provides the opportunity for children of enter in direct contact with the animals bred by the company. Children can touch the animals, feed them, and watch the milking of the sheep. The farm also offers the possibility to book dinners with typical dishes agreement with Lorenzo and mom Miranda.
